Crown . That part of the tooth which is visible in the mouth is called as the crown.
Root : That part of the tooth that is anchored with in the bone and is generally not visible in the mouth.
Humans have two sets of teeth.
There are two sets of teeth which is called as the Primary dentition and the Permanent dentition.
Primary dentition :.
There are 20 primary/ deciduous / milk teeth ; ten (10) in the upper jaw and ten (10) in the lower jaw . These erupt in the mouth from 6 month to 2 of 1/2 year's of age.
Permanent dentition:.
Ther are 32 adult teeth : sisteen in the upper jaw and 16 in the lower jaw . These erupt in the years of 6 to 18 year's of age.
